Like in a dream sequence of a movie, your photo could also achieve that soft, creamy, fuzzy effect and, at the same time, glow with vibrant colors with this simple Photoshop trick. Let’s take this photo below we had in Hangzhou for an example:

Took this photo early this morning on the peak of the hill where we’re living here in Tagaytay City. I believe that among all the photos I have in my whole life, this is my best water composition. And I would like to put emphasis on the “composition” because I’m not saying this is the best photo I’ve taken so far but the best composition. Had I used a different camera, perhaps the photo would look more stunning. Unfortunately, I just used a camphone and no matter how much we’d want to believe that “the camera doesn’t make the photographer”, there’s just a limit to what a camphone could do. No matter how much resolution the camphone maker would like to brag about.
The above photo was edited on Adobe Photoshop but the editing was limited to resizing and the name embedding. The one below was edited using my favorite Photoshop trick: duplicate layer » blending change to soft light (top layer) » sharpen (bottom layer).
“Less napkins, more plants. More plants, less napkins.”
This is my entry for this week’s Litratong Pinoy Challenge – Manipis (thin). Photo was taken at Starbucks Tagaytay when my wife’s college friends visited us. I was trying their new digital camera’s low light capturing capabilities and I should say that it did great on manual settings. However, the photo was still too dark so I had to do some photoshop magic to give it a better appeal.
