O Little Town of Bethlehem, is Santa Coming to Town?

Just when I though Christmas is still a few light years away, I heard Sarah McLachlan sing a Holiday song. Winter Song, O Little Town of Bethlehem and, this one, River. I never thought she had a Christmas album.
It’s coming on Christmas, they’re cutting down trees . They’re putting up reindeer singing songs of joy and peace. Oh I wish I had a river, I could skate away on.
But it don’t snow here it stays pretty green . I’m going to make a lot of money and then I’m going to quit this crazy scene. Oh I wish I had a river, I could skate away on. I wish I had a river so long. I would teach my feet to fly high. Oh I wish I had a river. I could skate away on. I made my baby cry

Should I wish for snow this year?
G.I. Joe: The Movie

Stephen Sommers, director of hit movie series The Mummy and The Scorpion King, is set to release the film adaptation of the 80’s hit animated series, G.I.Joe. Set for release in 2009 with working title G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, the initial plot revolves around a special group of mercenaries located in Brussels known as G.I.JOE which stands for “Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity”. The change in the meaning of the acronym from the original “Government Issued Joe” has brought uproar on the original action series’ fans saying the change has turned G.I. Joe into a multicultural soldier with no American affiliation.
In response, Hasbro, the brand creator sent a message to the G.I. Joe fans to clarify some of the facts regarding the G.I. Joe live-action movie being developed under Paramount Pictures.
First and foremost, we are not changing what the G.I. Joe brand is about. The name “G.I. Joe” will always be synonymous with bravery and heroism.
…
This movie will be a modern telling of the “G.I. Joe vs. Cobra” storyline and its compelling characters that Hasbro created 25 years ago. The G.I. Joe team will not be based in Brussels. Instead, they will be based out of the “Pit” as they were throughout the 1980s comic book series. And, in keeping with the G.I. Joe vs. Cobra fantasy, the movie will feature characters and locations from around the world. Duke, the lead character and head of the G.I. Joe team, will embody the values of bravery and heroism that the first generation of G.I. Joe figures established.
Aside from the movie photos, there hasn’t been any teasers released. Meanwhile, here’s a 1987 G.I. Joe animated movie from youku.com

CJ7 (Long River 7 or ChangJiang 7) is a story about a poor construction worker, Ti who struggles hard to give his son Dicky a better education. Despite his constant reminding his son that there’s nothing wrong with being poor as long as they live with integrity, it has always been difficult for his son to deal with his rich classmates. One day, during his usual search in the garbage dumps for something usable, Ti picked up what he thought was a simple rubber ball to give to his son as a present. After the toy had revealed itself as a space-wrecked alien, series of encounters happened which would change their view of life forever.
It has always been difficult to scour Chinese movies with English subtitles but I was lucky to have found this one. Watch the full movie CJ7 from youku.com
Post movie reaction: Being a long time fan of Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu movies (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer, The God of Cookery, and the likes), I was expecting that this one would have been in the same genre but I was wrong. The movie contains Chow’s talents in the comic arena but the Kung Fu was replaced with Sci-Fi actions.
