Finally, The Eraserheads Band will reunite for one-night concert
August 4, 2008 under Carabao Republic
After all the hints and subtleties, The Eraseheads Band finally gave light to all the speculations - the legendary OPM rock band the Eraserheads will reunite for a one-night concert which will take place at the CCP Open Grounds on August 30, 2008.
The band started off as two separate college bands from the University of the Philippines in 1989. Curfew (consisted of Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro on bass and guitars, respectively) and Sunday School (Raymund Marazigan and Ely Buendia on drums and vocals) were both seeking for new members until all four members decided to form a new group which they called The Eraserheads.
The Eraserheads’ journey started from a nine-song demo tape recorded at the Marazigan’s garage in Candelaria Quezon on January 1991. The said underground demo tape circulated among friends, radio stations, and record labels until their music finally, having had too much rejections, it landed on BMG A&R Director Vic Valenciano’s attentions who later on turned their music fantasies into a backslapping sycophantic reality.
