Hiling

Marami ang humihiling
Di naman tumataya

This is our (hopefully-not-so-late-)entry for this week’s theme, Hiling and here’s our LP Roundup for the previous week’s theme Hudyat, in no particular order:

  • Roni’s post is related to our CNN Hero, Efren Penaflorida. He say’s Efren’s triumph is a signal for more Filipinos to pursue the path to good will and genuine public service.
  • Karmi says a year ending is just a signal for a year that is to come.
  • Iris says that when you’re hungry, seeing a prominent fast food chain’s logo from a distance is heaven-sent.
  • Willa appreciates the signal from a police mobile, telling the arrival of Santa Claus and his parade.
  • Ian views the continuing presence of Christmas lanterns as a sign that no matter how difficult our lives has became, Christmas will remain Christmas and everyone continues to prepare for its coming.
  • Julie says their Christmas tree, despite its simplicity, is a sign that Christmas really is just around the corner.
  • Meanwhile, Thesserie is currently moving to a new host (or something else) so the link to her street signs, bus and taxi stops.
  • Jay says that for Filipinos, the start of the “-ber” months marks the beginning of the longest Christmas celebration in the Philippines (and for Filipinos around the globe). He also says its a GO-signal for everyone to start flocking the baratillos, palengke and department stores to shop for christmas lights.
  • Dr Emer says the best sign of a day’s end is the sun setting in the west. This is probably my best pick for last week’s entries. Truly a breath-taking scene (er, sign).
  • Mirage’s entry is Dr Emer’s opposite. Although both of them shares different beauties coming from the same sun. So this is another favorite.
  • Ebie shares photos of “danger signs” and early warning signals.
  • Ken says a light coming from a lighthouse is calling for an SOS. I say not ;-)
  • Upto6Only enjoys seeing Christmas decors in all its brilliant lights and colors.
  • Pehpot shares alarming dangers and disasters caused by the previous typhoons and floodings.
  • Marites shares the sign which told them that they were already near their destination – the 50 ft. statue of Jesus Christ near the Divine Mercy Hills.
  • ShutterHappyJenn shares the convenience of happy street lamps in a place that’s overloading with vehicles.
  • Lino shares photos he had taken during the floods along Espana where a “no left-turn” sign stands.
  • Dinah shows photo of a sign enlisting the prerequisites before boarding your marine vessels.
  • Cookie thinks that the extravagant blossoming of Poinsettias is a sign of the holidays coming.
  • Mauie Flores shares funny sign describing a U-turn slot. Another winner photo for me!!!
  • MsRay says dark clouds are signs of storms coming.
  • Sassy Mom, with her Christmas balls and poinsettias, enumerates an endless list of signs that Christmas is really near.
  • Arlene also has photos of early warning signals which could be seen on high cliffs and the likes.
  • While Yami’s photos are those which could be seen in other not-so-dangerous places.
  • Eye shares a sign seen in an ovel race track. I haven’t seen those and never thought that those even existed. ;-)
  • Lynn shares a rather different sign – one that tells you to stop taking photos. Hahaha!

And that’s our weekly LP roundup. Sorry for the late post, something just happened which prevented me from posting my entry on time. Until next week, happy LP!!!
