Kotsengkuba’s Picks for Project Lafftrip Laffapallooza

This should have been an all out vote for Badoodles of Kwentong Barbero but since he’s the promoter of this competition, he just had to invalidate my votes. Sabi nga ni Rizal sa Noli Me Tangere, “Hindi ako kumakain ng sarili kong luto” which was later popularized in a Tagalog folk song that goes “Ako ang nagtanim at nagbayo at nagsaing. Subalit ng maluto ay iba ang kumain.”

I had difficulty picking 5 Humor Blogs since I’m some kind of an anti-social and I don’t usually roam the entire blogosphere so I only knew a few humor bloggers. I’m voting for my favorite Humor Bloggers and here goes my list:

1. Anak ni Kulapo - Among all bloggers known to Kotsengkuba, next to Kwentong Barbero of course, this is the only one who dares to be funny and be successfully funny at the same time. This is such a rare co-incidence, a rare universal phenomenon.

2. Reyna Elena - She tackles Philippine economy and other socio-political events with a hint of satire and sarcasm. Another rare co-incidence of two supposedly exclusive events.

3. Chronicles of Kotsengkuba - Sorry folks, I have no intension of being dubbed as a Humor Blogger but if I won’t vote for myself, my votes for the other 2 humor bloggers will be invalidated. Refer to rule number 8 below.

3. Chuvaness, Nosebleeding at its Finest - How can you stop yourself laughing when while reading her melodramatic notes what you can visualize is a girl in nasal hemorrhoid.

4. The Great Maldito - If not for BURAOT and COLDMAN, I wouldn’t have made a second look at yet another man posing with his back in front of the camera.

5. Chillidobo - Because nothing compares to the happiness a retractable black ballpen can bring. Yun na!

Perhaps after the contest has been concluded, I’ll be able to know more Pinoy Humor Bloggers and I’ll have more than enough to vote for in the next Project Lafftrip Laffapalooza.

The Search for the 2008 Philippines 10 Best Humor Blogs is on!

If you happen to be exploring the vastness of cyberspace, bumped into a Pinoy blog somewhere and somewhat, the posts tickled your funny bones and you suddenly see yourself sporting a devilish grin or burst out an uncontrollable laughter that goes “NYAHAHAHA!” Ben David style.

Then it’s payback time. Vote for your favorite humor blogger. Here’s how:

1. You must have your own blog. Only bloggers are qualified to cast their vote and only those who have their own blogs can be classified as bloggers, or vice versa.

2. Through a blog post, cast your vote by ranking 3-5 humor blogs from 1 to 5. 1 being the highest, 2 being second to the highest, and so on and so forth.

3. Humor blogs will then be scored as follows:
- Number 1 – 5 votes
- Number 2 – 4 votes
- Number 3 – 3 votes
- Number 4 – 2 votes
- Number 5 – 1 vote

4. Your post may be entitled in any way you feel. “Project Lafftrip Laffapalooza”, “Super Cool Blogs”, “Best Humor Blogs”, “5 Blogs Na Nakakatawa”, “Ako at si Ben David” or any way you wanted.

5. Post may be in English or Tagalog.

7. If you think your blog can qualify as Humor Blog, you may vote for yourself but contest host and judges must certify your being a humor blogger. Only the contest host’s and judges’ idea of humor will be the official criteria for classifying blogs as humorous or not humorous. Host your own contest if you insist your idea of humor is the right kind of humor.

8. You can only vote for 3-5 votes. Less than 3 or more than 5 votes will be invalidated. You can’t have a tie in your ranking, it will be invalidated as well.

9. Leave a comment on the contest post Project Lafftrip Laffapalooza to inform them that you’re joining.

10. Should you decide to change your votes or ranking, you must notify the contest host and judges.
