Look do we have here!

October 23, 2008 under OFW Corner

If you would think that I went out to Shanghai just to watch Lea Salonga belt her lungs out as Cinderella, then you are wrong. Though not completely wrong since I could have just went there later in the afternoon instead of leaving the house at 9:00 in the morning so Barney couldn’t be thinking he made a total fool out of me. And besides, I still managed to buy a regular ticket just because I could afford to ;-)

Anyway, I went to Shanghai last Sunday to pick up (I hope I could think of a better word) my wife, my daughter and my mother-in-law at the Pudong International Airport later that day. YEY!!!

So as you would see, my wife and I were now so accustomed to Cebu Pacific Air’s flight schedule so we already know the routines. They leave Manila at around 8:00 in the evening, spend 3 or so hours inside the airplane without food or water (unless they spend a fortune on Cebu Pacific Air’s in-flight menu) and arrive Shanghai Airport before midnight. Meanwhile, I go to the Pudong Airport 2 and book at hotel room at Motel 168 Super (which seemed to have increased the hotel fare big time but the front desk officers denied, current rate is not RMB 358.00 and sorry I lost my previous post on this airport hotel), stay for the night and take the first Long Distance Bus Service at 10:30 in the morning. We didn’t choose to take the MagLev – Subway – Train way because we’re carrying too much luggage.

And so we’re here ;-)
