Our Chinese Super Hero failed, Liu Xiang out of the Olympics

China’s Super Hero Liu Xiang failed to start his 110m hurdles first-round today disappointing Billions of fans and supporters (including yours truly). After one false start, Liu Xiang stopped before the first hurdle clutching his leg and then walked out of the stadium.

Don’t worry Liu Xiang, you’re still our Super Hero
Liu Xiang’s gold could have had the most glitter so who should we be watching now that Liu Xiang is out of the Olympics? Too much pressure is not good

As an Australian i was looking forward to seeing him run, because he is the ultimate sportsman - he is humble and he is generous and a great role model.
I like watching all the champions - Bolt, Phelps, etc.
It must have been devastating to the Chinese people, but the man is injured and I can’t believe some of the responses to his withdrawal.
He is still a hero and so he should be.

I agree with you, Nigel. I was also thinking whether he withdraw (and injure himself, hahaha) on purpose because he’s getting fed up with all the commotions.
Anyway, I’m still a fan and I am yet to watch all the news and reactions on TV later
