Papaya and Cream Shake

There are two papaya trees growing in my mother-in-law’s backyard and I noticed one of the papaya fruits turned yellow the other day. Having nothing to do, I took it out from the tree and left it if the kitchen so we could slice and eat it after dinner. However, I remembered I still have two pouches of Nestlé All Purpose Cream in the refrigerator so I asked my mother-in-law whether she have a blender. When she said yes, I asked my wife to buy a can of evaporated milk on her way home.

Today I made a fruit drink out of that papaya and all purpose cream though I’m not sure whether its a smoothie or a milk shake so I am assuming it’s Papaya and Cream shake.

Papaya and Cream Shake

Ingredients:

medium size ripened papaya
250 mL Nestlé All Purpose Cream
½ cup sugar
1 cup water
ice cubes, ice tubes or crushed ice

Procedure:

Cut the papaya into halves and remove the seeds. Scoop one half of the papaya into the blender, pour half of the all purpose cream, ¼ cup sugar and fill the blender with ice. Put half cup of water to aid in crushing the ice. Turn on the blender until the mixture is smooth.

Transfer the mixture in a pitcher and do the same process on the remaining half of the papaya. This recipe makes six or more glasses.

If you may ask why there’s no milk in the ingredients, the answer is because I didn’t use it.
