What used to be a Pinay Scandal SEO Campaign

This entry was originally titled “2009 Christmas Bazaars” but it was most originally titled “Pinay Scandal, Performing In Bubbles,” an entry I used to join a certain “Pinay Scandal” SEO campaign.

What was written above may have confused you but if I could share to you a very long history which led to that line above, perhaps you would understand. Here it goes…

On October 17, 2009, Marhgil Macuha of Macuha.com launched an SEO Campaign which was supposed to push down “authentic” internet pages showing Pinay Scandal stories, photos and videos from the front pages of search engine results page by replacing them with Pinay Scandal hoaxes thereby eradicating rampant internet searches for Pinay scandals using the keyword “Pinay Scandal.”

My original entry, as mentioned in the lines above, was entitled “Pinay Scandal, Performing In Bubbles” featuring the first Youtube hit video of Charice Pempengco where she was singing in a Korean-based variety show. At that time I haven’t yet changed my permalink from “ugly permalink” (or numbered URLs) to “pretty permalink” (or worded URLs) so the URL of that entry was http://www.kotsengkuba.com/?p=143 because, for some fate-manipulated reasons, that entry was the 143rd entry in my blog, this blog.

And it so happened then that, for another ill-fated reason, I had to move my blog to another host. Back then, the only method of moving Wordpress blogs from host to host or domain to domain was through the use of Wordpress’ Export Tool. And so I did used it but when the transfer was completed, the 143rd entry wasn’t the Pinay Scandal entry any longer, rather, an entry featuring my daughter on her 8th month became entry number 143.

I got so devastated with the result because each time a perverted soul would click the link from other Pinay Scandal SEO campaign participants, what would be shown was my daughter instead. And so I deleted everything related to that Pinay Scandal entry.

Cutting the long story short, I no longer wished to be involved with that Pinay Scandal SEO campaign for whatever purpose it had to serve. Unfortunately, people forget everything but the internet don’t. And no matter how much I wanted to believe or no matter how desperate I wanted to try, that Pinay Scandal SEO campaign continue to haunt me even in the deepest pages of my blog, this blog.

“If you can’t beat them, join them.” That’s how an old saying goes like and so I’m doing what it says.

End of the Pinay Scandal story

Anyway, here’s Google Trend Report for the keyword Pinay Scandal. I don’t know how much of them are so angry now for having landed on a fake Pinay Scandal page.

Okay now, let’s put a gender to this growing search trend. We’d all known how the Pinay Scandal keyword term rocked the scandal-loving denizens of the planet but little did we know that the male counterpart of that keyword is growing, too? Check the screen capture below for that search trend comparison between Pinay Scandal and Pinoy Scandal keywords.

See, there’s only a small difference for the Pinoy Scandal term compared to the other one and, as a matter of fact, the Pinoy Scandal term even peaked more than twice of the other. I believe it could be associated with the rise of the Katrina Halili – Hayden Kho scandal way back in 2009.

• Anne Curtis wardrobe malfunction scandal which happened during the taping of an ASAP episode in Boracay

• Hayden Kho – Katrina Halili video scandal after which several other video scandals arose including that of Hayden Kho and the Brazilian model scandal and Hayden Kho – Maricar de Mesa scandal videos.
• PBB Double Up Rocky Salumbides photo scandal
• Pilipinas Got Talent Markki Stroem photo scandal which isn’t really scandalous if we’ll compare it to all the Bench Uncut denim and underwear shows.
