Many people are searching the internet for videos using the keywords vidio, vedio, vidios or vedios. But not video or videos. Perhaps due to international writing styles and keyboard layouts, people are getting confused as to what is the real spelling for the word video.

Using Google trends, checking for search trends for the keywords vidio, vedio, vidios and vedios, you would see that there’s a high search trend for those keywords whether or not people are really searching for those words or videos.

Here’s a screencap from Google Trends using the keywords vidio, vedio, vidios and vedios.

If you would click the link above for the Google trends result for those keywords, you would find that the highest trend is coming from Jakarta, Indonesia for the keyword vidio. I don’t know the reason behind this wrong keyword search but I think it has something to do with their alphabet. Check this and this entries showing their language and local alphabet.

Please don’t get me wrong. I actually don’t have complete studies to support this claim regarding the search results for such keywords. If you have more valid explanation, please don’t hesitate to share it with us through the comment form below. Thanks!
