Bleach: Deicide and Kamishini no Yari

I’ve never thought about it until Gin stabbed Aizen’s chest with his very sword in the last Bleach Manga Chapter 414 (Deicide 15). Consider how the words have revealed all the clues that we all failed to notice:

1. The last sixteen chapters of this Aizen coming out of Hueco Mundo and ready to make the King’s Key by annihilating the whole Karakura Town were titled Deicide, Deicide 2, Decide 3… Decide 16. “Deicide is the killing of a god. The term deicide was coined in the 17th century from medieval Latin *deicidium, from de-us “god” and -cidium which means cutting or killing.” (See wikipedia). Although it was clearly stated that the “concept is applied to the Crucifixion of Jesus specifically, but may be used with to any life-death-rebirth deity who is killed and then supposedly resurrected.”

Kamishini no Yari

2. Gin’s Bankai is called Kamishini no Yari. Kami is the Japanese word for the spirits, natural forces, or essence in the Shinto faith. Although the word is sometimes translated as “god” or “deity, shini means death (kill or killing in verb form) and yari are Japanese straight-headed spears. To put it all together, Kamishini no Yari could mean God-killing spear.

I (or we all) thought that the whole past 16 arcs (and counting?) all titled “Deicide” were all about everyone trying to kill the God (that is Aizen) until Gin stabbed Aizen in the heart in the last chapter. But then, of course, the next chapter (Bleach Chapter 415) should clear all our confusions up.

You could download Bleach Chapter 414 so you’ll also be enlightened ;-)

Just a few updates, OneManga and MangaFox both officially removed their manga scanlations last August 1, 2010. We can no longer read manga online from their sites.

Read manga online no more

read manga onlinePerhaps we can expect tears flooding (figuratively) and forums flooding (literally) from among the biggest fans of The Big ThreeOne Piece, Naruto and Bleach mangas. Unfortunately, Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it.

Collapse, Sakadane!

Collapse, Sakadane

It means we can no longer read scanlated copies of our favorite manga and all the nearest thing we could have for our beloved manga are raw scans all with pure Japanese texts. WAAAAA!!! I don’t care if I won’t receive translated scans of One Piece Manga, I don’t read it anyway. I wouldn’t care if I can no longer have English translations of Naruto Manga, I stoped reading it after the Pain Saga. All I care about is receiving of at least online reading of my favorite Bleach Manga. Shatter, Kyouka Suigetsu!

I was about to read Bleach Chapter 413 from OneManga.com when this message popped out:

Bleach Forum Signature Stamps

I’m a lurker of Bleach Asylum, a forum based on the hit manga and anime series Bleach though at times, I also join discussions and heated arguments. Here’s some of the Bleach Manga images I have edited to make them look like old stamps. I often use them as forum signature images on major Bleach Manga and Bleach Anime forum sites.

If you like what I have created, feel free to use them in any way you want. You don’t have to give credit to me although I would appreciate it much if you could link back on this page. And to make things easier for you, I have placed the forum embed codes at the bottom of each image set. You could just copy and paste the codes to your bleach forum signature editor.

Have fun!
