Nowadays, or perhaps since time immemorial, the girls’ section of every department stores are overflowing with pink, pink and tons and tons of pink dresses. I don’t see anything wrong with small girls wear pink dresses – I mean that’s just natural – but if pink is all you could see, then that’s when the problem comes in. All pink, for me then, becomes bland and totally unimaginative. It only shows how kids’ clothing manufacturers became too safe, thus lacks creativity and imagination.
This is why when my wife and I saw this black and white dress at SM Dasmariñas, we knew right there and then that this is what Tifa would wear on New Year’s Eve. So, with all enthusiasm, we bought the dress only to be disappointed upon arriving home because it won’t fit Tifa. The head hole is too narrow even if we already got the biggest size (Tifa will only turn 3 on January 20, we got the size for four-year olds). Fortunately, SM accept returns and replacements and we just had to pick another dress. It took us hours roaming the kids section before we found this purple and white checkered blouse. Paired with white shoes and stockings and a purple head piece, the dress was able to create great style and character.
We’re actually eyeing for a purple pair of shoes but there was no available stock for her size.
