Amorphophallus paeoniifolius

Weeks ago, a penis-shaped plant was reportedly spotted in La Union. The week before I left the country for SIM City, I spotted a similar-looking plant on my way down the hills of Tagaytay City.

Amorphophallus paeoniifolius

It’s only about one and a half feet in circumference and just around two feet high with the top portion already damaged (perhaps by pesky neighborhood kids) and I’m not sure if this really is the Amorphophallus paeoniifolius being described in the news.

Amorphophallus campanulatus

I also didn’t take note of the odor for I’m afraid it’s related to the Venus Flytrap species and it could snap my head off 8-O

We’ll be Lifting lanterns this Nuffamily Day!

Nuffnang Philippines will be holding the first Nuffamily Day on May 28 (Saturday), 2.00 pm and guess what, it will be held at the Crosswinds, Tagaytay City!

This is why I love Nuffnang so much — they knew my family lives in some far away land so instead of inviting us to Manila for this very important Nuffnang event, they’ll taking the event to us just so we won’t miss it. ;-)

Nuffamily Day

Thank you Nuffnang. I’ll be taking my wife and our two kids with me on this event. We live near the Crosswinds so you we won’t be needing the NuffBus to pick us up.

Hello Summer 2011!

“Summer is kind of like the ultimate one-night stand: hot as hell, totally thrilling, and gone before you know it.” ~ Cosmopolitan

Pina Colina Tagaytay

Summer has just made its presence felt here in Tagaytay. It’s already hot in here since April started but for the past three days, the usual cool strong breeze has ceased blowing and it’s freaking hot even here at the top on the hill. That’s why Tifa and I had been swimming almost religiously at the Pina Colina Resort. Just for this month alone, we’ve already been there thrice. HAHAHA!

Last Friday, her Tito AJ was with us at it was a blast. We were there since 10 in the morning and we planned to stay there the whole day had her Lola not told us to go back because there’s no one home so we had to leave the place shortly after one in the afternoon. Here’s a few hours worth of photos ;-)
